Who We Are

The Forum for Global Studies (FGS) is a Delhi-based independent, nonpartisan think tank founded in September 2021. In the age of global interdependence, geopolitical shifts impact our lives. It is imperative to have a better understanding of international relations. FGS is a rising multi-disciplinary think tank that seeks to create a platform for dialogue on India’s Foreign Policy, Energy Security, Geo-Politics, Digital Transformation, International Trade, Climate Change, and Entrepreneurship. We hold regular programs which offer a unique platform for business leaders to interact with eminent thinkers and policy makers. It focuses on the evolving global landscape by encouraging voices from disparate domains, be it Geopolitics, Digital Transformation, Energy Security, International Trade and Law, Climate Change and Environment. Through its research and diverse range of programs, FGS will promote international collaborations, engage with policymakers, academicians, and tech-industry leaders, and stimulate public debate on pressing global issues. FGS seeks to serve as a resource to all those who seek to better understand the world and the foreign policy challenges facing India.

Our vision at the Forum for Global Studies (FGS) is to establish a premier platform that empowers India to navigate and shape the evolving global order. We aim to foster innovative policy responses and strategic engagements by leveraging cutting-edge research, extensive academia-industry partnerships, and global collaborations. By bringing together leading academicians, business leaders, experts, policymakers, intellectuals, and institutions from India and around the world, we strive to create a knowledge-driven society that addresses key challenges in geopolitics, national security, defense, energy, climate change, and trade. Our ultimate goal is to contribute to India’s growth and stature on the global stage, ensuring a prosperous and secure future for all.

What We Do

FGS offers a stimulating environment for researchers to critically examine the several dimensions of global politics. The Forum will disseminate its research activities through round table discussions, conferences, global dialogues, seminars, blogs, lecture series, and exchange scholar programs, etc. In addition, the Forum will promote international collaborations with leading institutions at various levels. FGS is structured across the following major themes:
