Theme: Will India Become a Superpower by 2047?

Program Overview

Join our online debate competition where undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and PhD scholars from recognized institutions gather to explore one of the most critical questions about India’s future. Participants will examine key topics such as economic growth, technological innovations, demographic trends, and strategic policy reforms that may contribute to India’s emergence as a global superpower by 2047.

    Registration Fee: Rs.500/-

Debate Format & Rounds:

Round 1: Preliminary Debates

  • Format:
    Each debate session is 10 minutes long and includes:

    • Opening Statements: (Total 4 minutes, with each speaker getting 2 minutes)
    • Rebuttals
    • Cross-Fire Round: (Includes a 2-minute Q&A segment)
    • Closing Statements
  • Selection:
    Judges will evaluate the content, clarity of arguments, and overall presentation style.

Round 2: Question & Answers Round

  • Format:
    Finalists (or finalist teams) will give a 2-minute presentation summarizing their arguments, followed by a brief Q&A session with the judges. This round is conducted live and streamed online for enhanced audience participation.

Final Judging:

  • Finalists are judged on the strength of their arguments, delivery, audience engagement, and their ability to effectively answer questions. Special emphasis is placed on the 2-minute presentation and Q&A performance during the finals.

Judging Criteria:
Judges will assess participants based on the following structured scorecard:

  • Content & Research (30%): Depth of knowledge, evidence-based arguments, and relevance to the topic.
  • Clarity & Structure (25%): Organization of ideas and logical flow.
  • Persuasiveness & Rebuttal (25%): Creativity and effectiveness in counter-arguments.
  • Presentation & Delivery (20%): Confidence, tone, and overall audience engagement.

Event Schedule:

  • Preliminary Rounds: 12th April, Saturday
  • Final Round: 13th April, Sunday

Top Positions:

  • 1st Place: Rs.2000/- + Certificate + Special Feature in our post-event publication
  • 2nd Place: Rs.1500/- + Certificate + Special Feature in our post-event publication
  • 3rd Place: Rs.1000/- + Certificate + Special Feature in our post-event publication

Special Category Awards:

  • Best Orator: Certificate + Reward (Discount voucher for upcoming events)
  • Best Rebuttal: Certificate + Reward (Discount voucher for upcoming events)

Note: All participants will receive a certificate of participation, and select debates may be featured on our website and social media channels.
