The Forum for Global Studies (FGS) invites applications for its summer internship program designed for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PhD scholars enrolled in recognized universities or institutions both within India and abroad to apply for the Summer Internship Program 2025.  This structured internship provides invaluable exposure to academic and practical research on a wide array of global challenges. Interns will have the opportunity to engage in a range of intellectually stimulating tasks, including contributions to publications, case studies, capstone projects, and policy brief writing — all with a focus on Global Politics and International Law.

  1. Russia–Ukraine War, Israel–Hamas War,
  2. Cyber Security and Hybrid Warfare
  3. Trump, Tariffs, and the Trade War: A “transactional” approach to foreign policy

Week 3-  [12th May – 16th May] Live Projects & Expert interactions.

  1. Global Supply Chain Disruption and Politics of Transit Corridor: INSTC, BRI and IMEC
  2. Strategic Chokepoints- Suez Canal, Strait of Hormuz, Bab el-Mandeb and Strait of Malacca

Week 4 – [19thMay – 23th May]

  1. Maritime Law– South China Sea, Black Sea, Red Sea, and Arctic region
  2. International Law: Legal Dimensions in the Key Geopolitical Flashpoints
  3. Cyber Security Law- AI-driven disinformation and digital espionage, Cyber in War: Russia–Ukraine war.

Week 5 to 8  [26th May – 30th June] Capstone Project & Policy Brief Writing

  • Capstone Project- A comprehensive research paper on a selected topic.
    Word Limit: 5,000–8,000 words
  • Policy Brief Writing- Participants will draft a policy brief aimed at decision-makers. Word Limit: 1,200–1,500 words
