Round Tables
The Delhi Diversity Diplomacy Series
“A lot of people think international relations is like a game of chess. But it’s not a game of chess, where people sit quietly, thinking out their strategy, taking their time between moves. It’s more like a game of billiards, with a bunch of balls clustered together”- –Madeleine Albright
The Delhi Diversity Diplomacy Series is designed to be the flagship roundtable project by the Forum for Global Studies, New Delhi. It aims to bring in cohorts of young professionals from different disciplines to discuss some of the most pertinent issues of international relevance. The D3 series is a step further in realising the goals of the FGS in providing a space for young and dynamic policymakers, academicians, practitioners, business leaders, and experts to engage in productive and meaningful conversations from multidisciplinary perspectives. The D3 series aims to be New Delhi’s contribution towards a more inclusive, diverse, and consensus-building approach to the evolving human centric global order. The roundtable would bring in young experts to discuss a plethora of issues ranging from climate change, rehabilitation, human and energy security, the ramifications of international law, human rights, Indo-Pacific discourses, etc. Each roundtable would produce background papers as well as working papers as an outcome document, with specific contributions by the experts and the team at FGS. The papers, along with the proceedings and discussions at the roundtable, would be accessible to the public and the intelligentsia at large. We at FGS are positive that, through such a rigorous procedure, the D3 series would significantly contribute to providing strategic insights to academicians, policymakers, entrepreneurs, institutions, and global shapers.
